Arran View is made up of multiple purpose-built, single-storey houses, all which provide a different type of care.
Saltcoats is a charming seaside town. The Home has delightful views of Arran the largest island in the Firth of Clyde. We are just an hour’s sail from the island.
At Arran View, we are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and are highly trained in providing 24-hour care. We get to know each resident personally, so we can make sure we get a balance between support and independence exactly right.
Each area of Arran View provides residents with a homely place. We can offer short term respite care or you can make it a long-term move.
We offer Nursing Care, Residential, Dementia Nursing, Short Stay, Palliative Care.
We offer e-learning for all our staff and encourage the framework for dementia care and have an internal SVQ trainer and encourage all our care staff to engage in SVQ level 3 training.
We have 90 well-decorated bedrooms some with beautiful bay windows or patio doors. Most bedrooms have garden views and personal washbasins. At this present time bathrooms are shared but there are plans to renovate the Home providing bedrooms with en-suite facilities. There are real warmth and friendliness to our home. We build strong relationships with residents as well as their loved ones and encourage everyone to get involved with life here. We serve great food, there are lots to do and company can always be found.
Residents are welcome to personalise their own rooms with familiar items from home, like pictures or small pieces of furniture, there is also a space for a TV. Around the houses, there are large lounge areas where residents can catch up with loved ones or read a book. We have our own on-site hairdressing salon for those who enjoy a spot of pampering. All gardens are accessible, and we have a handful of secure areas so that those living with Dementia can venture outside too.
Our team of dedicated coordinators plan lots of fun and engaging activities, including for those who are less mobile, for example, arts and crafts exercise classes, trips out in the home’s recently purchased minibus. We have excellent links with the local community including the church and schools.
Our chefs prepare delicious meals for residents to enjoy either in one of our social dining areas or in their own room. Loved ones can pop by at any time for a coffee or activity. For a donation, your welcome to join us for a meal too. Just give us a call beforehand and tell us about any dietary requirements.
We would be delighted to meet you, show you around and discuss how we are able to assist your loved one.
