Enhance Living Support Services is a small organisation offering high quality supported living services and staff to each individual we provide support/care too.

As we are a small provider we can offer time, value and a personal touch to each individual we support. Our Mission Statement is: Everyone born into this world deserves the basic elements of life, such as food, water, safe environment and the opportunity to realise their full potential. Our organisation will strive to ensure every individual we support reaches their full potential, achieves their goals and has their lives enhanced in every way.

We will work in partnership with our sister company ‘Enhanced Healthcare’ who have been offering a high standard of care for several years and who have an excellent reputation within the social care sector. At Enhance our directors and managers will be present and at the forefront of your support package ensuring you receive only the best service. Our directors and managers will be seen and known to every individual that chooses Enhance Living Support Services, so you will feel valued and your voices heard. We also aim to invest in our support teams ensuring they receive the right training and support in order for them to do the job to the best of their ability.

What We Do

CARE AT HOME
We provide flexible support packages to meet your needs in order to enable you to remain in your own home and to stay safe and healthy. We can provide anything from 1 hour a week to a live in service.

We work alongside you to hand pick your own staff. Together we will match potential staff through Person Centred Recruitment to all those who wish to remain living in the comfort of their own home and to continue living an independent lifestyle of their choice, for as long as possible. We cover all areas in the Glasgow, North and South Lanarkshire.

All of our staff members are fully trained, each with specialist training in different areas (Dementia Awareness for example) as well as having a full criminal record check along with references from previous employers to ensure character integrity. Once care starts the registered manager will also conduct regular spot checks and staff supervisions to maintain our high standards of quality.

Maintain safety and safeguarding responsibilities
ELSS will carry out risk assessments in order to guide, advise and support individuals, (including third parties) to minimise risks and manage complex risk situations, including cases involving differences of opinion. Risk enablement is a process which enables the individual to achieve what they want, whilst reducing the risks associated with achieving their desired outcome(s).

Flexible-and-personalised-support-packages

Whether you are looking for support to cook a meal, have a chat with your neighbour or needing support to get washed and dressed in the morning – through to those who need more specialist care we will work to match you with the right support. We offer support from as little as 30mins up to round the clock support

promote social inclusion
ELSS will promote and support access to social networks, we want to build links with community projects, community centres and schools to increase levels of social contact between people from different generations. ELSS will also work to resolve transport issues so that they do not prevent people from participating in the wider community, we have access to a mini bus through our Enhance Healthcare partners and look to support people to and from clubs as well as organising day trips.
employment opportunities
At ELSS our aim is to support the people we work for to find employment opportunities in order to promote Independent Living.
Person centred support
The Person-centred support that ELSS offers sees the person as equal partners in planning, developing and assessing their care to make sure it is most appropriate for their needs. It involves putting individuals and their families at the heart of all decisions.

Person-centred care aims to be user focused, promote independence and autonomy, provide choice and control. It takes into account service users needs and views and builds relationships with family members.

enable informed choice and control
To allow people to make informed choice and maintain control of their life ELSS will ensure the person has all the relevant information and support needed to think the choice through, and to understand what the reasonably expected outcomes may be of making that choice. Having choice and control in the persons life is key to promoting Independent Living.
trained staff
All our staff are recruited and selected through a process which includes criminal record checks and taking up references. We carry out a Person Centred Recruitment Process where the goal is for you to meet candidates and find someone with similar personality traits and interests to you so that they can become part of your support team. All of our staff are provided with the relevant training which is essential in order to support you appropriately and safely.
technology
The new ELSS APP has been created for a number of reasons, some to streamline some office tasks, and some for the safety of our staff and service users. The APP’s primary role is to allow ELSS to make sure that we are attending the services user’s home at the time of their visit. In the event that something happens to one of our staff on the way to their next visit and therefore don’t check-in on time, ELSS will be notified about this within 15min of the visit time, this way ELSS can act to cover the shift and make sure the service user is not left unsupported and also can help our staff member who may need some assistance. We can also offer text notification to family members that would like this service, when ELSS staff check-in to a services user shift we can send a comfort text to a family member to tell them that ELSS are supporting their loved one. This can be a big help to some families worried about their family member being left unsupported.

Care At Home

There are many different approaches to providing care at home, some people require a care worker to assist them with tasks such as cooking or getting dressed whilst other people may require the care worker to do the majority of tasks for them, each individual is unique and we respect and promote individuality.

Free personal care is available for everyone aged 65 and over in Scotland who have been assessed by the local authority as needing it. The first step should be to contact your local social work department to request an assessment. If you have been assessed as needing personal and nursing care you will receive this regardless of income, capital assets, or marital or civil partner status.

To receive personal care services from your local authority, or receive payments to allow you to choose who will provide the services to you. The types of personal care provided will vary according to your assessed care needs.
